    Basic camp ground with toilet.

I didn't end up getting to the Blencoe falls camping ground as I was in a normal sedan car and didn't want to completely brake it's poor suspension. 95% of the drive is unsealed dirt, with many MANY pot holes, ruts and corrugations.

I would NOT recommend doing this drive in a car (or at least one you'd like to keep in good working order), I would highly recommend using a 4WD.

Looking at the dirt road track on google maps now I see I was probably about 70% there before I decided to turn back. (PS, google, you're missing half the road on your road maps view).

It's a nice drive otherwise, and I'll definitely be back with a 4WD at some point.

Stunning place in the world. It's a good 2-3 hour drive from Cardwell and in some places you wouldn't get there without 4WD. I have an X-Trail and was fine. The falls are something special. The gorge tops it off. It's an unknown treasure in the region, so check it out! Camping is right on the creek with grassy, shady sites. It's a bit of a drive, but worth it

The 62 km (I think that's what it said on the sign) takes hours to drive (half way down by a short walking track there is another information sign where they say to allow 3 hours one way for the drive, something they should have mented at the start I think.)
